When I first heard of CWS!, my mind instantly thought of The Menzingers, a Pennsylvania band with the same penchant for heartfelt pop punk with vocals that push the boundary of the singer's vocal chords. Weirdly enough, I soon found out that the bands are linked in more ways than one. Each band contains a member of the Barnett family, and both stem from the same Scranton, PA scene.
With that said, Captain, We're...

This is from a show at 538 Johnson. You can't really hear the vocals, but at least we were able to shoot from above. This is from our demo which you can download from the Free Albums section. We have a Fellow Project split coming out soon on Kiss of Death Records.
Slingshot Dakota, Captain We're Sinking, Nude Beach, Spraynard and Sundials also played.

I had first met Harris on Halo Fauna tour where we played with his band Horn & Tusk in Richmond. 2 years later, both of our new bands met up to play two shows in New Jersey and New York. I had a lot of fun, and after the second show I offered to put up their demo, which had been flying off their merch table.
I feel like this record fits in perfectly...

I know valentine's day is kind of lame, but you'll have to indulge me, because it happens to fall around my boyfriend and I's anniversary, so I thought a comic version of a mixtape would be a fitting tribute to both events. At the very last minute I realized that The Loved Ones' Dave Hause would be coming through the city for a couple of shows with Brian Fallon of the Gaslight Anthem. I quickly shot an email over to the invaluable Vanessa at Fat Wreck (thanks to Bryne for reminding me). Within two days of the show we were able to figure out a window of time that Dave could come over.
Dave is currently...
Recently I decided to add interviews to the site. I agonized over what format they should be, and made lists of pros/cons for each one. In the end I decided that TEXT would be the easiest, and fit perfectly as a buffer for all the video work that I do. I also realized that I could easily do interviews over different chat programs.
I made a list of friends that I could interview...
I have a short list of people who I believe are going to lose their voices prematurely. Witnessing Stolen Parts live is like having a VIP seat at the Gruff-Whispery Olympics. In the blue corner you have Ryan Seagrist, member of Florida's Monikers, who brings his own brand of mid-tempo pop punk to the table. His vocals on "Anonymous" and and "You Don't Know" help push the song, while keeping your head bobbing. In...
