Awesome poppy Lifetime-y punk from NJ. With this record, SRNJ has really hit the perfect mark stradding the line between pop and punk with ease. Buy it from Black Numbers or download it from their Bandcamp page.
If you like Mike's voice in this band, make sure to check out Fierce Brosnan, his side project with members of Yo Man Go!, Let Me Run, and Dino Velvet.

Brother and sister duo take it to the pink couch. They have an EP coming out very very soon. I also play drums in this band.

Another video of Craig and Julia playing with only half a band. This is a new song, but I guess they are all new songs if there isn't any recordings. I think this song reminds of Rilo Kiley, but I just woke up. I think it sounds great though, and makes me kinda sad.

Two siblings and two friends make up this indie rock band from (mostly) Brooklyn. Dual guy/girl vocals, bouncing basslines, aggresive drums, loud guitars and a synth underscore give the band a unique sound, somewhere between The Anniversary and Hot Water Music. The Get Awesome EP is their first release - a full-length will follow this year.

Hi, I'm Barrie, nice to meet you. I do lot of things. Most notable of such things being: a weekly live radio program on the interwebs called Generic Insight Radio, I write for What We Hate webzine, I book shows in NYC (some of which can viewed on the Events page of IYMI), I do press/publicity for some small bands and I've also got a print zine in the works with someone else. None of this pays the bills but...

This is an unreleased track off their new Red Scare record 'Hold On Dodge', which you can listen to here, or buy off iTunes. Check out them on their current tour with the Sidekicks and Cobra Skulls, and their upcoming interview on Generic Insight Radio.
This is going to be my last Pink Couch until I get back from Vermont in last August. Luckily for me, we were able to squeeze these two in before I left.

The Max Levine Ensemble performs "Fireettoowweerr" at the Insubordination Fest Pre-Show, June 25th, 2009. The sound clips are from a radio broadcast where Ben Weasel (of Screeching Weasel) announced his hatred for the Max Levine Ensemble.
Text of the clip: "My worst nightmare is to find somebody that likes that band and also likes my stuff, because then immediately, IMMEDIATELY, I'm going to start questioning myself and asking myself what am I doing wrong??"
The full radio broadcast can be downloaded here:...

This might be the first time we've had two siblings on seperate videos. A couple of months ago we had younger brother Brian Bond over.
PJ released a new full length "You Didn't Know I Was Alphabetical" on NJ's Black Numbers. He was also on tour with Billy Wallace, so stay tuned for Billy's pink couch recording.
Thanks to Chris C. and Mike S. for making the first 2 minutes of our interaction weird.

I've been fans/buddies with this band for a while, and it's awesome to see them progress throughout the years. They've consistently put out new and excited records each year. I think I'd be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't like their music on some level. Alex's drum parts have always been cool and different, and this release is no different. More drummers should follow his...

I just had the pleasure of hanging out with Casey for over a month straight, and he was one of my favorite people to hang out with every day. Summer is a game changer when it comes to music. My normal rotation gets replaced with a playlist consisting solely of pop punk, surf songs, hip hop and radio jammerz. With that said, this comic is referring to the new Wavves album, King of the Beach. On the whole, this record doesn't blow me away or anything, but on a nice summer night with the windows down, headed to the beach with a new friend at 3am, it's just right...

This is from the holiday show at Death By Audio that Jeff from Bomb the Music Industry! hosted. I was really excited to see them play this, considering that I had missed them a couple of times throughout the year.
This is the last thing I'll post for the rest of the year. Happy New Year's everyone. Buy "Weight of Air".
