P.S. Eliot-We
I waited all night before asking them about recording, luckily my good friend Kate took charge and we figured it all out. Bagels were produced, eaten and I knocked over multiple things. They have a new record coming out, which sounds amazing, and has this song on it. P.S. Eliot also contains members of The Ackleys.

P.S. Eliot-Hail Mary
Thankfully, this Alabama four piece is able to play shows here every couple of months. Even with the small gaps in time, I wish they were a more permanent staple of the Tri-state area scene. They are one of my favorite live bands. This off their Salinas Records full length "Introverted Romance in our Troubled Minds". They also have a new 7" out on Freedom School Records

P.S. Eliot-Sadie
P.S. Eliot is back with a vengeance on their new LP "Sadie". Am I right? Totally! That's all I can come up with! Download this now and I'll fix it over the weekend. I don't need to prove to you that this band is awesome, you already know. Descriptions are for people who have no idea and probably hate everything I love. P.S. Smelly Butt is playing a record release at Cedar Mansion in Brooklyn tonight. It's going to be nuts....

Cheeky-Small Snails
This show was so much fun, with Little Lungs and PS Eliot also playing. I recorded Little Lungs at this show too, but it ended up not coming through the mic. Check out Cheeky's Art of the Underground Single series contribution.

Football, Etc-First Down
Lindsay and Mercy returned recently to play two Tin Kitchen reunion shows with good buddies P.S. Eliot. I've always wanted to have her over to record, but Houston isn't the closest city to New York. If you like what you hear, you can also download Football, etc and Tin Kitchen's records in the Album section.

Music Mondays-Katie Crutchfield
Katie plays/sings in Birmingham band P.S. Eliot. She's also on a warpath with starting new projects, including Bad Banana and Waxahatchee. Hopefully this will continue when she makes the trek north to New York in March. Buy this Sourpatch "Mira Mija" 7 inch My "buy it" portion of this Music Monday is brought to you by some new friends of mine from San Jose, California. They combine sugary 90s grrl pop with sophisticated pop-punk pretty brilliantly...

Music Mondays-Casey Lee
I just had the pleasure of hanging out with Casey for over a month straight, and he was one of my favorite people to hang out with every day. We just said goodbye to him this morning, and it was super super sad, homes. I'm going to miss seeing him all of the time. Check out & download his recent collection of solo recordings, "COMROMS", that he just put on his tumblr site. He and ...

Waxahatchee-Bathtub
I'm currently in Paris right now , connected to the worst wi-fi signal in Europe. It keeps going out and I have to restart my computer constantly. Despite these inconveniences, I was able to upload and post this amazing video from Katie's new solo project, Waxahatchee. I think this came out great and if you like it, head over to her blog by following the link to the right. You can download her full length for free! "Bathtub" is on...

Swearin'-What a Dump
Within one minute of hearing this, I knew I loved it. It all sounds so damn good, and the band seemed to spring out of thin air. Swearin' is basically a mash-up of bands and people that I love. I recently saw them play a show in Brooklyn, and it was just so perfect. Almost too perfect. It's not really fair. Kyle of Big Soda and Allison of P.S. Eliot share vocal duties on this record and it's one...
