Not Like This

I haven't updated this section of the site in months, and it hasn't been from the lack of awesome records. It took an amazing slab of vinyl to get me out of this funk, and that record was the new Iron Chic LP, "Not Like This".

Recorded with guitarist Phil Douglass, this record is the strongest effort from the ever changing 4 piece. The songs are poppy and catchy as all hell. Your foot unconciously starts tapping as soon as "Cutesy Monster Man" kicks in, and you want to sing along before you even know the lyrics. The drums are full of energy, with Gordon's fills flying all around the drums. Iron Chic are able to bridge the gap of technical pop perfectly with songs are extremely listenable and challenging.

"Not Like This" also contains two re-recorded songs from the Demo 7" on IYMI, Timecop and In One Ear. Bassist Mike Bruno (Dumps) is releasing the LP on his label Dead Broke Records, with 86'd Records handling the CD Version.
