  • at first i thought that I liked Lemuria's The First Collection better than Get Better, and that Get Better seemed like nothing special compared to the First Collection. however, I have just realized that Get Better is fucking amazing.

  • "currently listening to Length Away for the 100th time today" that song is so emotionally intense and powerful, i love it SO much

  • if you liked Strange Spring Air by Shinobu, you should definitely check out their previous album, Worstward Ho! I'm not saying SSA is bad, it's just that Worstward Ho is a goddamn amazing record. i listened to it for about a month straight after i bought it.

  • [cite]Posted By: ifyoumakeit[/cite][quote][p][cite]Posted By: Sloppyfigure8s[/cite][/p][p]Can't stop listening to: Algernon Cadwallader full length Shinobu - Strange Spring Air (available for free at quoteunquoterecords.com!) BTMI! - Scrambles ("""""!) Latterman - We Are Still Alive[/p]

I totally did. And I can't tell you how confused I was.

  • [cite]Posted By: tom!![/cite][p]if you liked Strange Spring Air by Shinobu, you should definitely check out their previous album, Worstward Ho! I'm not saying SSA is bad, it's just that Worstward Ho is a goddamn amazing record. i listened to it for about a month straight after i bought it.[/p]

Worstward is definitely their best work, I agree with you there. I just happen to have already worn it out by listening to it everyday, so strange spring air is a nice change. Their first full length isn't too bad either.

  • I've been listening to Castevet a lot recently. A bit of a Street Smart Cyclist sound, but a lot of the songs have a Post-Rock feel to it. Brilliant stuff. Download their demo free on their MySpace, http://www.myspace.com/romancastevet . Can't wait for the full length. <3

(also listening to a TON of paul baribeau lately)

  • [cite]Posted By: nickmaynard[/cite][p]i totally agree with molly about lemuria.[/p]

you are totally the only one. when I first said I liked First Collection better people thought I was crazy. however its a close race for my fave right now

also, i'll reply to the comment about length away: absolutely. in a lot of their lyrics, (between all the writers) they sometimes literally say very little, but they mean so much and you can feel the meaning through their simplicity or through the music. Like in the song Piranha, "In the bed at night its small but its nice" I feel like it says so much but it uses such simple words and I love it.
