Lemuria at bereafest. It got kind of late and the video got more and more orange. People love the lemuria sing along, I guess it helps with songs as catchy as this.

Filmed at 2007's Bereafest, you can't hear Sheena, but everyone singing along definitely evens that out.

Buffalo heartthrobs finally made their way down to Brooklyn for a series of shows capping off the Asian Man records tour. If you haven't seen them yet, you've definitely missed your chance, because they've been out on the road for a while. This is off their recent full length "Get Better".

It was great hanging out/playing with buddies for a couple days on our respective tours. Being away from home and being able to see Sheena made me feel a lot better. Unfortunately I missed their Fest show, which seemed crazy, so instead enjoy some footage from their pre-fest Tallahassee show.

The Ergs! joined on stage by Jay and Alex from Lemuria. Unfortunately I wasn't able to tape them at the knitting factory show. Thankfully they also played this show at Hamilton Lanes in Trenton. They have a whole mess of records that you probably own already.

From the last day of the Asian Man tour. Sean and Ben plus members of Bomb the Music Industry and Sheena from Lemuria. This tour featured some of the nicest people playing music right now. I'm sure they all had a great time hanging out too, just listen to those solos!

I was able to hang out with the GGA lads while they were on tour with good buddies Lemuria. They were all crammed into one van, and I'm surprised the 6 of them made it out alive. I'm a big fan of Russ' guitar playing in this band, especially his strumming style.
Check out some of their releases at Art of the Underground. This song is from a 7inch called Fifty Hours on AARBR Records.

Despite living in the U.K. , I've had a bunch of random run-ins with Dave over the last two years. He plays in the band the Steal, who are one of the first bands on IYMI. I also had to contact him this summer about printing the Lemuria shirt that I did for their recent overseas tour.
Now he's sitting on my couch, walking around my neighborhood, playing shows with my friends, and it's really awesome. Check him out for the...

Stepping out from behind the drum-set of Lemuria, Alex grabs the reins, the horse and the whole carriage this time and takes the listener hostage. It's kind of crazy how musically talented Alex is.
I'm pretty sure I was going somewhere with that sentence in the beginning. I'll add to this introduction as time goes long.
You can also get a hear two of these songs on his Art of the Underground Single Series, which he runs from sunny Buffalo, NY....

Alex of Lemuria runs this label/distro and is the mastermind behind the AOTU Single series, which continually releases amazing singles by great bands. Lemuria is also one of my favorites.
He's put out records by Cheeky, Cheap Girls, Ringers, The Ergs, Potboiler, Tin Armor and many more.

Bereafest embodies exactly what music is about, local communities banding together to promote something they love. Supported by berea and friends, this is something that will hopefully be around for a while.
Each year raises money for a fundraiser. Last year they raised 1700 for the Berea Children's Home.
Bands that have played there include Bridge and Tunnel, Lemuria, Defiance, Ohio, Ghost Town Trio and many more.
