Refiltered - Donation Label Portal of the Future

Over the last couple of years a couple of awesome donation-based digital record labels have popped up, especially in the area of punk. I wanted to band these labels together somehow, and make it easier for people to keep track of our upcoming and past releases. With the advent of Bandcamp, online labels have become more akin to music curators ( I hate that word ). We distribute the music we love and Refiltered is meant to foster that.

Quote Unquote, Death to False Hope, Juicebox and Rumbletowne are all run by people who I respect and think are doing cool things within our community. On that note, I want to emphasize that each label still stands on their own and this is only meant as a portal for all of our work.

Refiltered has a couple of cool features that I'm excited about.

  • RSS Feeds for all the labels and each label individually.
  • A music player that can take you through all the records on the site, individual labels or just singular albums.
  • An embeddable player for each records.
  • Similar albums will pop up under each individual album so you can check out other records you might like.
  • Auto Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr updates.
  • Disqus comment system, which allows you to keep track of your comments.
  • A Blog, currently called The Sieve, where each label will post updates, thoughts, interviews and highlight releases that we had nothing to do with.
  • See Future Releases from each label.
  • Label pages, which house their blog posts and all of their records.

With that said, I hope everyone enjoys the site. It's still in it's beta phase, so let me know if you have any problems or questions about it.

xoxo,

Dave
