Rhetoric

I saw Matt play about a year ago when I was in Columbus for a show. Since then he's recorded a split with Andy Cook, and this amazing 9 song gem of a record. One of the first things that popped into my head was its resemblance to Davey von Bohlen's band Vermont, or even some of the more laid back Promise Ring songs.

Rhetoric also contains the recorded version of the Pink Couch Matt did for "Bricks". This is the second album on IYMI featuring a member of Ohio's The Sidekicks.
